Short answer
A professionally built website for a small business usually costs from around SEK 5,000 and up, depending on the number of pages and features. At Drifly, a one-page website costs SEK 4,900 and a complete website with up to six pages costs SEK 7,900. On top of that come running costs for the domain and hosting.
Building a website for your small business doesn't have to be expensive or complicated - but the price can vary a lot depending on what you need. Here's a transparent guide to what you actually pay for, what drives the cost and how to get help building a website that gives you value for money.
Three price levels you'll come across when building a business website
Template solutions (SEK 0-5,000): Wix, Squarespace or WordPress templates you set up yourself. Cheap, but they take time and often fall short on local SEO and on turning visitors into customers. Professionally built website (from SEK 4,900): a tailored site with the right structure, mobile-friendly design and SEO, built by a web agency or freelancer focused on small businesses. Premium (SEK 50,000+): larger agencies with their own design team, often more than a small business needs when all it wants is a clear site that sells.
What affects the price most?
The number of pages and amount of content, whether you need a booking system or customer login, integrations with tools you already use (point-of-sale system, CRM, email), whether you have material ready or need help with text and images, and the level of SEO and local visibility. At Drifly, a one-page website costs SEK 4,900 and a complete website with up to six pages costs SEK 7,900. If you add booking or a member area, there is an extra cost for that.
Fixed project price vs. hourly billing
We always recommend a fixed project price. That way you know exactly what it costs before we start - no unpleasant surprises. At Drifly you get a quote after a short call, usually within 24 hours, and the price covers the whole project, including adjustments.
Ongoing costs to budget for
Hosting and domain: SEK 100-300/month. Maintenance and updates: optional, usually SEK 0-1,500/month depending on how much help you want. Booking systems and other third-party tools have their own subscriptions. We're always transparent about which ongoing costs apply before you say yes.
Help building a website - what should you look for?
Choose someone who understands small businesses and doesn't sell you more features than you need. A good partner gives you a fixed project price, is clear about what's included, delivers a website that is mobile-friendly with the SEO basics in place, and is still there for support after launch. Ask for references and look at real projects they've built.
